Talent Aligned is partnering with an innovative, people-first global manufacturer in the medical technology sector to secure a dedicated Field Service Technician based in Melbourne.
In this critical customer-facing role, you will act as the primary technical expert supporting hospitals and healthcare facilities across Victoria. You will ensure the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of advanced medical equipment, delivering an exceptional service experience that directly impacts patient care.
Technical Intervention: Perform complex installations, commissioning, scheduled preventive maintenance, and emergency troubleshooting of specialized medical equipment at client sites.
Diagnostics & Repair: Accurately diagnose electrical, mechanical, and electronic failures using schematics and advanced technical documentation.
Compliance & Documentation: Complete detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and compliance records to strict hospital safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Asset & Inventory Management: Maintain and manage field service stock, specialised tools, and replacement parts efficiently.
Customer Support: Build strong, trust-based relationships with clinical staff and biomedical engineering teams through clear communication and expert guidance.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on field service experience, ideally within the medical device, healthcare, or complex electromechanical equipment sector.
Technical Acumen: Strong troubleshooting capabilities across electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, with the ability to interpret complex technical schematics.
Communication & Polish: Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, with a professional approach to client engagement.
Autonomy: Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage a mobile territory independently from a home office base in Melbourne.
Licensing: A current, valid Victorian driver's license with a clean driving record and a willingness to travel across the region as required.
